Tracker
Are there video frames where an individual isn’t tracked? Or need to track a new object for redaction? Secure Redact’s Tracker feature can be applied to intelligently predict tracking forward - automating editing even further.
Tracking a new object
Pause the video where the object is first seen in frame.
Draw a box over the object in the video player.
In the Timeline, the corresponding orange bar will be added to its own row.
Click Tracker in the Toolbar (keyboard shortcut = T).
Secure Redact will intelligently track the individual forwards in the video by 25 frames (shown by the unconfirmed blue bar in the Timeline).
Press play to watch how the intelligent track performs. As you move forward, the next 25 frames will also be tracked and so on.
You can also hold down the right arrow key to play through the video whilst the Tracker runs.
To accept the intelligent track: click the green tick (keyboard shortcut = Enter). The track will be accepted up to the frame you are currently in.
To change where the track is suggesting: adjust the box in the video player and the intelligent tracking will reset in the Timeline, again suggesting the next 25 frames based on your adjustment.
To discard the intelligent track: click the red cross (keyboard shortcut = backspace).
Filling in the gaps between Tracks
To "fill in the gaps" between tracks, extend a track forward or backwards, simply pull the edge of an orange bar (track) in the timeline and extend it. Secure Redact will automatically continue tracking the individual/object in question.
If needed, move and resize the corresponding orange box in the video player, then continue to pull the edge of the orange bar.
