Inspector
Focus on one individual to redact (or unredact) them quickly and easily. With Inspector, add all the tracks associated with your individual into one entity to ensure they are redacted throughout the entire video.
Click on the individual’s orange box.
Click Inspect in the Toolbar.
Type in a name (e.g. Suspect) to label the individual’s entity.
The label will also appear in its respective row in the Timeline. Pinning the row will freeze it at the top of the Timeline for easy access.
In the Timeline, you can also build up the entity by dragging Tracks (orange bars) into the pinned row.
In the Inspect Panel below, Secure Redact will suggest Tracks that appear to be tracking the same individual you’ve selected.
Click plus (+) to add the Tracks to the entity and start building it up.
Move your mouse over a Track to show up to 10 of the Track’s thumbnails (ordered chronologically from left to right).
Click minus (-) on any of the Tracks in the Inspect Panel to disregard these Tracks, and re-filter Secure Redact’s suggestions.
If you discover any false positives in the Inspect Panel whilst you are editing, simply click on the thumbnail and click Delete in the Toolbar.
This will delete the track from your video, not just from the Inspect Panel.
Once finished, are there gaps in between Tracks where the individual is not tracked for redaction? Visit here for more.
To start Inspecting a different individual, repeat this entire process from Step 1.
What does the tick box mean?
The tick box (both in Inspector and in the Timeline) allows you to quickly unredact/redact an individual and keep everyone else in the video blurred.
Once you have built up your entity with Inspector, and filled in any gaps where the individual isn’t being tracked with Tracker - you can quickly unredact/redact the individual using this tick box - which also exists in the entity’s corresponding row in the Timeline.
